A week before the wedding, Andy and I were broke. as. fuck. on account of weddings costing money and shit. I signed into our bank account, and it just said, "LOL, NOPE" and then Mr. Moneybags reached out of the screen and bitch slapped me.
In case you were wondering, the week before a wedding is just a teensy bit stressful, which also means that I was smoking entirely too many cigarettes and giving myself the black lung. Since our bank account was looking embarrassing, we realized that we wouldn't be able to buy any more cigarettes. Which made us stressed out. Which made us really want another cigarette.
A few weeks before, I was sent a request from Vapor4Life to try out some electronic cigarettes and write a review. I usually just delete that mess, but Andy and I had been seriously discussing quitting smoking, and it seemed like the perfect time to try. My only request was that they send me a pink one.
I busted the electronic cigarette out and we plugged the flavor in (espresso). We tested it out for about twenty minutes before we called it quits.
First of all, electronic cigarettes are really heavy. Holding it doesn't really feel like you're holding a cigarette at all. It's difficult to hold it between two fingers like a normal cigarette is held. It looks pretty cute since you can get them in any color, but unless you get one in white, it will be very obvious to everyone around you that it isn't a real cigarette.
Electronic cigarettes are also a little more difficult to take drags from. I had to suck pretty hard (tehe!) to get any taste. The flavors are really cool, but again, they don't taste like cigarettes, which kind of blows. However, every time you take a drag, a light on the end lights up and it made me feel unicorn sparkly rainbow cool.
Overall, I don't think electronic cigarettes work for me. I'm still trying to quit, but I think I'll have to just do it the old-fashioned way. But I do know several people who have quit smoking completely by using the electronic cigarettes, so don't knock it until you've tried it. The flavors are pretty cool, and they have SO MANY.
